At the end of October, the average size of a consumer loan in Russia amounted to 234.7 thousand rubles, which is 19% less than in September and 12.2% less than October 2021. According to the NBKI, the largest average bill of consumer loans was recorded in Moscow: there the average loan amount was 522.7 thousand rubles. According to NBKI estimates, the average loan receipt decreased in most regions in October as of the end of October. Most of all, the indicator decreased in Primorsky (-26.9%) and Khabarovsk (-25.9%) regions, Sverdlovsk (-25.9%) and Saratov (-24.0%) regions, as well as in the Perm Territory (-25.9%). 23.3%. “To a large extent, such dynamics of this indicator is explained by the fact that against the background of general uncertainty, borrowers, as a rule, do not seek to increase their obligations and reduce their debt burden. At the same time, banks are currently pursuing a conservative policy, issuing consumer loans with an increased average check only to “quality” borrowers,” the NBKI press service quotes the company’s marketing director Alexei Volkov as saying.
In October, the demand for borrowed funds among Russians began to gradually recover. According to the Unicom ecosystem, in October, the number of requests in monthly terms increased by 6%, consumer loans – by 1.5%.
