Nazareth frontman Dan McCafferty dies

Scottish rock band founder and frontman Dan McCafferty has died at the age of 76. This was announced by the band’s bass player Pete Agnew on Facebook (owned by the extremist and banned Meta). The cause of death is unknown.
Nazareth, formerly the Shadettes, was formed by Dan McCafferty in 1968 with Pete Angue, Manny Charlton and Darrel Sweet. The group gained popularity in the US in 1975. She released a number of popular albums, including Exercises, Razamanaz, Rampant. In early 1990, Nazareth became one of the first Western bands to arrive in the USSR with a concert.
In August 2013, Dan McCafferty left the band due to a respiratory illness. At the same time, he was able to record the Rock`n`Roll Telephone album. The group continued their activities after his departure. On July 5, 2022, Nazareth guitarist Manny Charlton died at the age of 80.
