NASDAQ fell by 1.7% due to falling Alphabet shares – Kommersant

The decline in NASDAQ was primarily caused by a strong drop in Alphabet stock prices – by more than 9%. It is related to the one presented today, October 25th, reporting corporation: although its main financial indicators were better than expected, investors were concerned about the poor results of the Google Cloud cloud service.
Investors fear that Google could fall behind its competitors, such as Amazon and Microsoft, which are actively developing cloud technologies. Experts note that the growth of Dow Jones, in turn, was facilitated by the growth of shares of Microsoft and Boeing, which reported today, October 25.
