NAMI acquired Bosch production in Samara

Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Central Research Automobile and Automotive Institute” (“NAMI”) acquired “Robert Bosch Samara”. About it reported at the science center.

On June 13, NAMI concluded a deal to purchase 100% of a Samara company that previously produced steering systems, as well as anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and dynamic stabilization systems (ESP).

107 employees who were employed at the enterprise at the time of the transaction will continue to work. The Ministry of Industry and Trade and NAMI promised to support the restart of production.

The production of ABS and ESP is planned to be established from 2024. The enterprise can reach its design capacity from 2025, NAMI noted.

June 7, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Vasily Shpak toldthat deliveries of domestic ABS will begin on July 1. The first domestic production of ABS will be launched in Kostroma.

Robert Bosch Samara is a former subsidiary of the German concern Bosch. The first phase of the plant was launched in 2015, investments in it amounted to more than 26 million euros. The first product of the plant was the ESP system for Lada Vesta.
