The Myanmar authorities allowed Russian citizens to stay in the country for 30 days without issuing visas. The visa-free regime will be valid until June 30, 2024. About it reported at the Consular Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“From July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, Russian citizens intending to visit Myanmar for tourism or business purposes are allowed visa-free entry for up to 30 days through the international airports of Yangon, Mandalay and Naypyidaw,” the department said.
From July 1, 2023, it will be possible to apply for a special tourist visa – it is issued on the basis of a hotel reservation from the single list of Myanmar. The visa can be double or multiple. It is valid for up to 6 months – during this period, the period of stay in Myanmar can be up to 30 days for a double entry visa and up to 90 days for a multiple one.
