Moskvich to supply 3,000 vehicles to taxi and car sharing services

The Moskvich plant will supply Russian taxi and car sharing services with 3,000 vehicles this year, informed Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.

“We will supply 3,000 Moskvich 3 cars for taxi and car sharing across the country in the near future. Plant “Moskvich” and the group of companies “Yandexsigned an agreement with a delivery schedule for 2023,” he wrote.

Thanks to the restart of production at the Moskvich plant, taxi and car sharing companies will be able to quickly update the fleet and maintain a high level of their services, the mayor added. According to him, only companies in the Moscow market require 30,000 – 40,000 new cars a year. This year, the company expects to produce 50,000 cars, of which 10,000 will be with an electric motor, Sobyanin added.

Earlier, at the end of January, the automaker himself announced that shipments of Moskvich cars to the regions of the Russian Federation start this month. As Sobyanin specified, the company’s own dealer network includes 52 centers in 23 cities of Russia.

The assembly of Moskvich cars began in Moscow at the former Renault plant on November 23, 2022. The first new model of the enterprise was the Moskvich 3 crossover. The crossover is presented in five colors – white, black, red, gray and blue, the press service of the plant said. At the end of December, the first Muscovites arrived at dealerships.
