The Moskvich plant will supply Russian taxi and car sharing services with 3,000 vehicles this year, informed Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.

Thanks to the restart of production at the Moskvich plant, taxi and car sharing companies will be able to quickly update the fleet and maintain a high level of their services, the mayor added. According to him, only companies in the Moscow market require 30,000 – 40,000 new cars a year. This year, the company expects to produce 50,000 cars, of which 10,000 will be with an electric motor, Sobyanin added.

Earlier, at the end of January, the automaker himself announced that shipments of Moskvich cars to the regions of the Russian Federation start this month. As Sobyanin specified, the company’s own dealer network includes 52 centers in 23 cities of Russia.
