This is the name of the performance, which the artists of the Moscow Gypsy Theater “Romen” prepared as a gift to Muscovites and guests of the capital on City Day. The basis of this performance was a concert program called “Droma romen” (“Roads of the Gypsies”). The stage director, arranger and musical director of the project is the leading actor of the theater, singer, aspiring director Nikolai Lekarev Jr.
The Droma Roman program, as the name implies, reflects the path that the gypsy tribe has traveled since the exodus from India. The guests of the theater will hear the songs of the Balkan gypsies, which became famous all over the world thanks to the films of director Emir Kusturica, who treated the gypsies with special warmth, they will see the passionate and refined Flamenco dance of the Spanish gypsies performed by the inimitable Artur Bogdanov, known to the audience for his participation in the Dance revolution and “Voice”.
Songs and dances of Russian, Moldavian, Balkan, Spanish gypsies will be performed by the leading actors of the theater Petr Yanyshev, Anzhela Lekareva, Mikhail Saveliev, Karolina Buzyleva, Valeria Yanysheva, Vera Kvasnikova, Almaza Plakhotnaya, Olga Dzhelakaeva, Madina Dubaeva, Nikolai Lekarev, Radmila Bogdanova. There will also be a song about Moscow.
And the very next day, on September 11, the next new theatrical season will open with the legendary play “We are Gypsies”, which has become the hallmark of the theater.
