Moscow court fines Apple again for refusing to localize Russian data

The magistrate of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined Apple 12 million rubles. for repeated refusal to localize the data of Russian users (Part 9 of Article 13.11 of the Code of Administrative Offences), reported the press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction in Telegram.
Apple was first fined under this article in July 2022. Then the Moscow World Court appointed company fined 2 million rubles.
According to the Law “On Personal Data”, foreign companies are required to ensure the recording, systematization, storage and retrieval of personal data of Russians using databases in the country.
People have already been fined for violating this law. Twitch and Pinterest, AirbnbCoinbase, AIDA International, Google And Spotify.
