Moscow authorities changed their mind about opening a mobilization point in the Darwin Museum

The Moscow authorities will not open a temporary mobilization point at the Darwin Museum, as previously planned. About it RBC reported in the press service of the museum.

“Nothing will be placed,” the museum said. Earlier, the Moskva agency announced plans to open mobilization points at the Darwin Museum, the Museum of Moscow, the Viktyuk Theater and the Museum of Heroes of Russia and the Soviet Union. The Darwin Museum said that the temporary point will work on September 26.

As the agency reported, this decision was made in order to provide comfortable conditions for the mobilized and eliminate inconvenience for Muscovites living near the military registration and enlistment offices. At the same time, the Viktyuk Theater canceled performances until October 11, and the Museum of Moscow canceled the Veter Fall Fest scheduled for September 24-25. According to the agency, the mayor’s office was supposed to deliver the mobilized to these points by bus.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization on September 21, the next day the Moscow military commissariat issued a mobilization order. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also signed a decree according to which conscripted servicemen will receive 50,000 rubles each. monthly, in case of death, his family will be paid 3 million rubles, in case of a serious injury – 1 million rubles, in case of a slight injury – 500 thousand rubles. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, a total of 300,000 people will be called up as part of partial mobilization.
