Elena Elagina, a representative of Moscow conceptualism, died at the age of 73. She died after a severe long illness. She reported this in her Telegram channel art historian Ksenia Korobeynikova, without providing details.

Since 1990, Mrs. Elagina has worked in collaboration with her husband Igor Makarevich. Artists since 1979 included in the “Collective Actions” group. In 1990, the first joint project was presented – the “Closed Fish Exhibition” in Moscow.

In 2009, they participated in the main project of the 53rd Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art “Creating Worlds”. In 2011 – participants of the exhibition “Empty Zones.
