The Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov removed the name of director Kirill Serebrennikov from the section “Authors of performances” on the theater’s website, the press service said. Serebrennikov’s name is now also missing from the program of the play “The Forest”. Yesterday, November 7, the director himself announced this.

“The name of the director Kirill Serebrennikov, who collaborated with the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov, disappeared from the theater website in the “Authors of performances” section. Also, Serebrennikov is no longer mentioned in the theater programs in the production of “Forest” – the theater removed his name, replacing it with the word “director”, – follows from the message (quoted by RIA Novosti).

On the page of the performance “Forest” on the website of the Count’s Theater, the director missing, however, the “assistant director” – Irena Arkhangelskaya and “assistant director for the musical part” – Sergey Rodyukov are registered.
