Moldova announced its refusal to purchase gas from Gazprom

Moldova will no longer purchase gas from Gazprom. This was stated by the country’s Energy Minister Viktor Parlikov.
“We will no longer purchase natural gas from Gazprom for the territory controlled by the constitutional authorities,” he said (cit. according to RIA Novosti).
Parlikov noted that Moldova managed to find an alternative source for purchasing gas on the European market, and at a lower price than that specified in the contracts with Gazprom.
