Mishustin approved the list of countries where Russians can undergo identification for financial transactions

The government has approved a list of 25 countries in which Russians will be able to undergo identification for financial transactions in the Russian Federation. The corresponding order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, TASS reported.
The list includes: Azerbaijan, Algeria, Armenia, Bahrain, Belarus, Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, China, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Thailand , Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan.
The order is needed to implement the provisions of the law, which allows Russian banks and platforms for issuing digital financial assets (DFAs) to instruct foreign banks or financial market organizations to identify foreign clients. President Vladimir Putin signed this law in July.
