The Ministry of Energy recommended that oil companies keep the price of diesel fuel in small wholesale in the agricultural regions of Russia, a spokesman for the ministry told Vedomosti. He noted that the Ministry of Energy, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, discussed problems with providing farmers with diesel fuel at regional oil depots. Against the backdrop of a high load on railway lines in the south of the country during the tourist season, difficulties arose with the rhythm of fuel supplies, according to the comments of the Ministry of Energy.
The Ministry of Agriculture sent an appeal to the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Transport on the rise in prices for diesel fuel and interruptions in its supply, a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture said. According to him, a meeting to stabilize fuel prices, “especially in important agricultural regions,” was held on August 17 at the site of the Ministry of Energy with the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and fuel companies.
