Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said that there were no proposals to supplement the decree of President Vladimir Putin, which provides for the transfer of Russian subsidiaries of German Uniper and Finnish Fortum to external control. At the same time, he allowed the expansion of the decree in the event of an unfriendly attitude of other countries.

“So far there are no other proposals. If we see that other countries are acting somehow unfriendly towards us, then we will probably have to supplement the decree, ”said Mr. Shulginov in an interview with the TV channel “News” at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (quote from RIA Novosti).

Today, the head of VTB Andrey Kostin, commenting on the deal to sell shares of Yandex, declaredthat if they try to sell the business without the discount provided by law for the exit of foreign investors, it must be transferred under the control of the Federal Property Management Agency, as was done with the Finnish Fortum: “take it under control and return it to them when the sanctions end.”

25 April Vladimir Putin signed Decree on the transition under the temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency 83.73% of the shares of the Russian Unipro (owned by the German concern Uniper) and 98% of the shares of Fortum (owned by the Finnish Fortum). The decision was made as a response to the seizure of Russian assets abroad. Temporary management of assets of unfriendly countries may be terminated by decision of the President of Russia
