PJSC MegaFon became the owner of 100% of the short telephone number provider Getstar LLC. This follows from the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, which drew attention to Interfax. The press service of MegaFon noted that several projects were implemented jointly with Getstar. The transaction amount is not disclosed.
“We regularly acquire assets that are complementary to our core business. The deal to purchase Getstar fits completely into this strategy. “Getstar” is a long-time partner for us, with whom we are implementing a number of projects to provide businesses with short number services,” the MegaFon press service told Interfax.
Getstar LLC, operating under the GetStar brand, was registered in Moscow in 2013. The company cooperates with MegaFon, MTS, Beeline, Tele2, Yota. Since the spring of this year, the company was owned by UAE-registered Starcom. The operator’s services are used by Aeroflot, Raiffeisen Bank, and Gazprombank.
