Manufacturer Jim Beam received a record profit in Russia after announcing the withdrawal from the country

Bourbon maker Jim Beam has recorded record revenue in Russia after announcing its exit from the country in the summer of 2022. writes RTVI with reference to SPARK data.

According to the channel, the revenue of the manufacturer Denview Limited (Maxxium Russia structure) almost quadrupled in 2022 compared to the previous year and amounted to 269 million rubles. (against 69 million rubles). In addition, the channel notes, the company continues to hire employees – this is confirmed by two active vacancies on HeadHunter (hh.ru).

Beam Suntory and Edrington (Jim Beam, Macallan, Courvoisier, The Famous Grouse, etc.) announced their decision to leave the Russian market in July 2022. At the same time, they made the decision hand over its division – Maxxium Russia – under the control of local top management.

Maxxium Russia received a license to sell finished alcoholic products in Russia in 1995. In total, it has 19 brands in its portfolio. It is represented by two structures – JSC “Denview Limited” and LLC “Maxium Rus”. The revenue of the first company over the past two years increased by 17% – from 8.9 billion to 10.6 billion rubles, the second – by 23% – from 6.2 billion to 8 billion rubles.

As the co-owner of the AST distributor Leonid Rafailov stated in an interview with Vedomosti, the Beam Suntory and Edrington brands are not only well-known and in demand on the Russian market, but also leaders in their categories. He noted that their departure will not go unnoticed by the consumer, but in Russia there remains a professional team, one of the best on the market, which will try to find a solution to the current situation.
