Sergei Lukyanenko proposed at the state level not to allow “writers who hate Russia” to succeed
Writer Sergei Lukyanenko gave an interview in which he spoke about his colleagues, who have recently faced criticism in Russia due to their perceived unpatriotism. Statements of a science fiction writer published publication “Vzglyad”, noting that he “explained the hatred of (Lyudmila) Ulitskaya, (included in the register of foreign agents Dmitry) Bykov, (Mikhail) Weller, (included in the register of foreign agents, the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring Boris) Akunin and other writers towards Russia “.
According to Lukyanenko, in Russia “for many years they very actively loved, kissed and licked” those writers who, he believes, “hated our country.” These writers “did not hide the fact that they do not love either Russia or the Russian people,” Lukyanenko believes.
The writer said that today, when a number of popular writers are faced with the cancellation of publications of their books in Russia and other difficulties in their work, they “are in some shock because in the West <...> Nobody needs them.” That is why they declare their civic and political position, “now all this is coming out of them like garbage from a torn bag.”
In an interview, Lukyanenko suggested taking preventive measures and not allowing “writers who openly hate Russia” to succeed, Vzglyad reports. The essence of his idea comes down to creating a special system in which such writers would never receive support both in the publishing industry and relevant departments.
