Oil refinery (refinery) LUKOIL, located in the city of Burgas in southeastern Bulgaria, may face restrictions due to the ninth round of EU sanctions. Similar concerns were expressed by Ilshat Sharafutdinov, chairman of the governing board of LUKOIL Neftokhim Burgas.
“Currently, we are analyzing the situation and holding consultations,” Mr. Sharafutdinov told TASS.
Late November edition Euractiv reported that the Bulgarian government authorized the operation of the LUKOIL enterprise in the territory of the republic (including the continuation of the export of petroleum products to the EU) until 2024, subject to full payment of taxes.
