Logitech announced its withdrawal from the Russian market

The Swiss Logitech has announced that it has begun winding down its business in Russia, but the company still hopes to return to the market when circumstances allow it, informs “RIA Novosti” with reference to a member of the press service of the company Ben Starkey.
The company, Starkey notes, closely followed the development of the situation in Russia even after the suspension of deliveries to the country. However, Logitech has come to the conclusion that circumstances at the moment do not allow them to conduct business as before.
“We have supported our employees all this time, however, due to the instability of the situation, we have begun the process of winding down the remaining business in Russia. After many years of working in the region, we hope to return one day if the conditions are right,” said Starkey.
Logitech is engaged in the production of computer peripherals – means for inputting and outputting information to a computer. The company suspended deliveries of its products to Russia in April 2022.
Earlier it also became known that the Irish company Bookmate Limited, which owns the digital book service of the same name, may stop its activities in the Russian market. However, the sources do not know exactly what time period for the service owners to leave the Russian business can be discussed.
August 18 Kommersant informed that the Taiwanese manufacturer of peripherals for personal computers Genius has closed its representative office in Russia and may leave the Russian market altogether. This happened against the backdrop of a 65% drop in brand sales in one of the major electronics retailers in the second quarter.
