Leonid Mikhelson transferred part of the assets to his daughter Victoria

Leonid Mikhelson, co-owner and chairman of the board of NOVATEK, transferred control of Optima to his daughter Victoria. As follows from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the assets were transferred on January 20.

Optima controls a 2.3% stake in NOVATEK and also owns the GES-2 contemporary art center in downtown Moscow. At the same time, Victoria Mikhelson became the owner of one of the oldest cinemas in the capital, “Drummer”, which HPP-2 I bought in October 2022. Another asset of Optima is the Cypriot company Antarctic Investments Ltd, which owns Vostok LLC, a public-private research station. In 2022, Leonid Mikhelson was sanctioned by Canada and the UK.

NOVATEK is the second largest company in terms of gas production after Gazprom. She also acts as a curator of projects in the VAC fund for supporting young Russian artists, created by Leonid Mikhelson, and owns a specialized endowment fund to support culture “Space Expansion”.
