Rosatom plans to build its first small nuclear power plant abroad in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced on June 8 by the head of the state corporation Alexei Likhachev in Sochi at the Eurasian Congress.

“Our first export shipment, which, in my opinion, will be such a flagship for world exports, will be to Kyrgyzstan,” he said (quoted by Interfax). According to him, Kyrgyzstan “shows the greatest momentum” towards the implementation of a low-power nuclear power plant project (ASMM) based on Russian technology.
