Kommersant: operators’ prices may grow by 18% by the end of the year

Mobile and broadband services may rise in price by 15-18% by the end of the year, informs Kommersant, citing a TelecomDaily forecast. During the first half of the year, operators’ prices increased by 10%.

In particular, MTS raised prices for most mobile tariffs by 20-60 rubles, archival tariffs went up by 9% (60 rubles). The operator links the change in price with the growing costs of maintaining and building networks, rising prices for electricity and contractors’ services.

Company “Rostelecom”in the six months of 2022 increased prices for home Internet services by an average of 2.5%, ER-Telecom (Dom.ru brand) – by 10–15%.

On April 20, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) published guidelines for telecom operators on which they can raise prices, taking into account current inflation. Companies must notify the FAS of price increases at least two weeks in advance.
