Logistics service PickPoint stops working in Russia. About it writes Kommersant, citing two sources in the logistics market and a letter from PickPoint CEO Nadezhda Romanova to partners, which was at the disposal of the newspaper.
In an address to partners, Romanova says that the decision to stop working in Russia is connected with financial difficulties: the departure of Western retailers led to a decrease in the company’s turnover, and financing from Western investors also became impossible.
PickPoint stopped accepting shipments from legal entities and individuals on April 4, follows from the letter. At the same time, all undelivered and unclaimed parcels will be returned to customers before the end of the month. PickPoint declined to comment on the situation.
According to Kommersant, the service had difficulties with customers and counterparties at the end of 2022. Since the beginning of 2023, claims have been filed against the company for more than 433 million rubles. According to the newspaper, the total amount of claims is almost 730 million rubles.
PickPoint’s self-delivery network includes 6,000 parcel terminals and 4,500 pickup points in 657 locations in Russia. In February, it became impossible to leave a request for sending parcels from most of the country’s settlements on the website and application of the service, users also complained about non-working parcel terminals. Later, the company reported that all problems had been fixed, but customers continue to complain about the service in social networks, the newspaper notes.
