Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, Senator from the Krasnoyarsk Territory Andrey Klishas (United Russia) supported the idea to enshrine the right of mobilized citizens to credit holidays in law. The senator wrote about this in his Telegram channelcommenting on the corresponding proposal of the Bank of Russia.

Formerly Central Bank recommended banks, microfinance organizations and other professional lenders to develop special programs for loan holidays and restructuring for mobilized citizens. In the future, such special credit holidays can be enshrined in law, the regulator said.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Koshelev (LDPR), First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Public Utilities, told TASS that a bill on the payment of monthly payments by the state on mortgages and car loans to mobilized citizens will be submitted to the lower house of parliament by the end of the week. Mr. Koshelev believes that such a measure should apply to “the entire period of service in the ranks of the Russian army.”

Earlier today, September 21, President Vladimir Putin announced about partial mobilization in the country. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu explainedthat mobilization will affect about 1% of the total mobilization resource, and 300 thousand reservists will be sent to the combat zone.
