And celebrities obediently give out everything. However, after the filming shift, Kirkorov with jokes and jokes sparklingly mastered the three-hour show, and then went to a banquet, where gifts and congratulations awaited him. If you don’t love all this fuss immensely, then you can not only fall off your feet, but also move your mind, which, apparently, is clearly not included in Philip’s plans yet.

Although wits, comedians and other spiteful critics who always accompany the path of any star, without waiting for qualified psychiatric diagnoses, not without pleasure (why deprive yourself of it?) now and then make a diagnosis themselves: they say, “our something” has completely lost its mind. The current concert session of the artist was no exception. Everything was subjected to ridicule, banter and other verbal bullying – from colorful and often provocative outfits (as if before FC was a gray mouse), plastic consequences of surgical manipulations (often by those who themselves barely moved their pouted lips) to an exaggerated fixation on the theme of “pop- king”, which “the boy” really takes place. Although, in fact, again, but when was Phil different? This is even if Michael Jackson never uttered the “king of pop” to himself, although the whole world called him that. But why is it to live “on someone’s orders,” as Kirkorov cockily declared from the stage, while remaining in his right mind and clear memory …

With the number of mentions of his pop royal status and the variety of crowns on the screens and on his head, Philip, perhaps, has surpassed his own records for all previous years. Plus, the joint song “Queen” with Lyusya Chebotina: “Only a king can make a queen out of a princess” … The personal psychologist that Phil invited to the concert (more on this below), in addition to entertainment, clearly received a lot of useful information for her own practice with the patient …

Gatherings in the circle of relatives and friends, of course, no one cancels, but the birthday boy clearly likes to be on this day where there is universal adoration, flowers and applause. There is another circumstance due to which Philip tries to go on stage on April 30th. By an evil irony of fate, it was on his birthday in 1994 that his mother, Viktoria Markovna, died. According to Philip, before her departure, she asked her beloved son to never grieve that day, but to give joy to people and her fans, and for twenty-nine years the artist has been fulfilling this promise.

This layering of occasions and events gives the birthday concert some sentimentality. The main character of the evening tried to make the final show in the Kremlin as family friendly as possible. In the forefront were the children of the birthday boy – Alla Victoria and Martin, and father Bedros Kirkorov, who at ninety-one is surprisingly energetic. Philip himself recalled his mother, gladly accepted flowers from the children and his father, in general, he looked like a happy family man …

If a year ago the anniversary shows in the Kremlin sparkled not only with outfits and special effects, but also with a whole crowd of representatives of the beau monde, then this time it was more modest with famous faces. Not everyone managed to get to the Kremlin… In a small VIP lobby, where the owners of special invitations could exchange pleasantries before the show and cheer up with sparkling wine, there was a revival. Natasha Koroleva in a dazzling suit with prints of large yellow tulips (what else?) was clearly responsible for the spring mood. Alla Dukhova and Alexander Buinov quickly imbued this mood and gave each other dazzling smiles. Irina Viner, dazzling with chiseled features of a model face, majestically marched to the elevator with a patriotic bouquet of white, blue and red roses a la the national flag of Russia. On her elegant black hat, the word Queen embroidered with rhinestones sparkled – they say, the Queen came to the King … Lev Leshchenko and Evgeny Boldin, the third husband of Alla Pugacheva, as well as her director of the turbulent period of the 80s, pleased with good suits and intelligent irony. “For my anniversary, I wrote a thick book about what I experienced, it barely fits in two hands,” Mr. Boldin shared with ZD, showing with his hands what this non-standard size is. – Alla, of course, was the most worried. The show itself, despite all the attempts of the birthday man to grab fashion by the tail (recent duets with all sorts of chart crashers like Maruv, Anna Asti, etc., which sounded in a concert in a solo version), is also stable in its own way. The public can count on what they will do beautifully, in the sense that they understand it, and Philip does not let his flock down. It must be admitted that beauty has even increased in some areas over the past year. In the course of a branded outing to the people in the midst of a concert, Philip always singles out special guests. This time, his attention was equally divided between celebrities and other, lesser-known but very important members of his entourage, such as personal psychologist, fashion designer, plastic surgeon (of course!) and an absent but mentioned dentist. However, the answer to the question: “Why did he do it?” – voiced recently by one of the socialites, it seems obvious: because he likes it that way. And the rapture with which the artist shows a new self seems to know no limits. In a grotesquely pompous remake number (among other things, don’t forget about the King of Remakes!) to Humperdinck’s Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Philip is desperately rocking his tight-fitting tight-fitting thighs, which, like the artist’s face, have clearly experienced the magical effect of surgical renewal. Something similar is done at concerts by Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan, but the context and different nuances in the case of Philip leave much more embarrassment from what he saw.

The local pop king is clearly inspired by Madonna in terms of trash, but Kirkorov’s mixture of languid stage, operetta and queer cabaret looks more powerful than the last efforts of the Material Girl. If only Conchita Wurst had not rushed to urgently repaint his beard … Bora Moiseev was the calmest of all – he simply looked with tenderness from heaven at the reboot of his tricks of the 1995 model, obviously grinned approvingly and grunted with satisfaction …

But art has not been without sacrifice. Even Kirkorov, with his “indulgence for sins,” had to “sorry, move over.” Last year’s issue with dancing on the cross had to be edited after a wave of indignation from the “insulted public”. The song “Mary Magdalena” itself remained in the set list, but the scenography was brought into line with the current requirements of strong decency. Nevertheless, the show still lacked something that could lead the layman, not to mention certified fighters for frenzied “morality”, into shock and awe …

But the stubborn Kirkorov does not give up, saving up for the decisive battle in the style of “get away, bastards, get out of the way” invincible trump cards, which for the uninitiated, however, looks more like an innocent, albeit unexpected change of plots during the concert. Here are dances, acrobatics and the color of the mood is blue, and then, as if from a floundering bay, civil speech. “These flowers that you brought today, I would like to lay after the concert at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,” says Philip, and this, frankly, is not quite what you expect from an artist in a sequined pink Dolce & Gabbana suit. The sentimental-patriotic retreat was explained by the song “If You Leave”, which was included in the film “Nuremberg”, and now in the concert program, because, according to the artist, “the song is wonderful, and the film is very necessary.” And who would dare to argue with that now? That’s all … In a few minutes everything returns to normal, the artist is already kind with the familiar greasiness to the dancer Pasha, undresses the guy to the waist, and throws the removed T-shirt into the hall, like several others with prints of his own imperishable sayings like “Do you wanna scandal now”, “I got up and left” or “Your boobs annoy me”, which have become memes. Oh, these royal whims …

Speaking of royal whims. As it turned out, the matter was not limited to one or one crowns that cluttered the show, like grandmother’s trunks close to Khrushchev. “Now I’m also a Prima Don in this country,” not only Philip noted to the press, but also caulked a corresponding sign in the dressing room: “Philip Kirkorov. Primadon”. “But what about the King?” journalists were surprised. “And one does not interfere with the other. I’m also a diva. Modesty in the entertainment industry is a terribly harmful quality, but the gender modernization of the title of Prima Donna is a very ambitious move and, again, certainly justifies the position of a personal psychologist in the staffing of the pop royal court. Footage from Pugacheva remained in some archival video clips; closer to the end of the concert, Philip performs “Rejoice”, one of the pearls of the Living Legend’s repertoire. It was this song with its poignant lyrics and epic message that could have been a great finale, but it was the chic, glitter and feathers saved up for Can’t Take My Eyes Off You – “I can’t take my eyes off you.” However, there was a suspicion that the song for the final was chosen not because it is a masterpiece of pop classics from Engelbert Humperdinck and not even for the sake of down-feathers, really luxurious, but precisely because of this phrase, where the painted Philipp could easily replace “you ” to “yourself”, and no one would even choke. Unless it would have hiccupped not only to Jackson, Madonna, Konchita or Moiseev, but also to Kolya Baskov himself. However, they always hiccup from each other anyway …

At a small reception after the show, Philip listened to a lot of birthday greetings and compliments addressed to him. “He is a real patriot, not in words, but in deeds,” said Irina Viner, the one who had Queen rhinestones on her hat.
