Kinopoisk to invest in Guy Ritchie’s new film – Kommersant

Internet service “Kinopoisk” will become one of the investors of the new film by British director Guy Ritchie. Portal announced this “Film Distributor’s Bulletin” citing four anonymous sources in the film market. The deal is valued at $10 million.
The cost of the deal includes the rights to the picture in the Eastern European market, as well as investment in filming. The film will star Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill, Eiza Gonzalez. Filming will begin in July in Spain.
The title of the film has not yet been revealed. The picture will be in the corporate style of Guy Ritchie according to the original script written by him. According to known synopsis details, it will be an action comedy about two emergency evacuation specialists rescuing a high-profile negotiator.
Guy Ritchie will produce along with Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg of Black Bear International, who produced the director’s last two films, The Interpreter and The Ministry of Ungentlemen’s War. The second film will be released by Lionsgate in 2024.
