It is planned to complete the construction of the route on December 20. On September 5, the road to Arzamas will be launched, the Deputy Prime Minister specified.
Earlier today Khusnullin spoke via videoconference at a ceremony to mark the completion of the sliding of the span of the bridge across the Volga to M12. He noted that the work was completed a month ahead of schedule. In 2024, it is planned to extend the route to Yekaterinburg, and in 2025 to Tyumen.
The government decided to create a new high-speed toll highway M12 (Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan) in 2020. The 810 km long road should become part of the international transport corridor Europe – Western China, which currently includes the M11 highway (Moscow – St. Petersburg ) and the Central Ring Road. The state customer of the construction is the Avtodor company.
