Kazakhstan plans to supply 1.2 million tons of oil to Germany in 2024

The Kazakh consortium Karachaganak Petroleum Operating plans to export 1.2 million tons of oil to Germany via the Druzhba oil pipeline in 2024. This was announced by Deputy General Director of “KazTransOil” Amirzhan Ospanov.

“According to the received applications from shippers for 2024, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating plans to transport 1.2 million tons of oil in this direction in 2024,” Mr. Ospanov said during the day of the issuer of KazTransOil (quote from Interfax).

Kazakh oil from the Karachaganak field enters the Russian oil pipeline “Druzhba” and passes along the northern branch along the Unecha-Adamov Zastava route in transit through Belarus and Poland with delivery to Germany to the Schwedt plant.

Kazakhstan began delivery of oil in the direction of the delivery point “Adamova Zastava” in Poland at the end of February of this year. In June, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declaredthat the republic has the opportunity to increase oil supplies to Germany through the Druzhba pipeline up to 1.2 million tons per year. As of the beginning of July, Kazakhstan transported 290,000 tons of oil to Germany.
