KamAZ will increase production of passenger transport in 2024 – Kommersant

PJSC KamAZ plans to increase the production volume of passenger transport by 20% next year. The company will expand its line with serial production of trolleybuses, Samat Sattarov, director of passenger transport, told reporters during a working trip to Volgograd.

“We plan to produce about two thousand units of passenger transport in 2023. Compared to last year, there is an increase of about 30%. The plans for next year are to increase by 20%,” said Samat Sattarov.

In September, Russian manufacturer KamAZ reportedwhich next year also plans to present a hydrogen electric bus “vodorbus”, produced using components from Russia and friendly countries.

The company also entered into an agreement for test operation of trolleybuses with the Chuvash Republic.

Previously reportedthat KamAZ will launch serial production of KamAZ-65825 trolleybuses.

KamAZ is a member of the project for the integrated development of urban electric public transport. This state program provides for the supply of more than 280 electric buses to ten pilot regions of Russia until 2028.

Previously, KamAZ predicted growth in the truck market. The company hopes for a record 100 thousand trucks.
