KamAZ plans to produce 15 thousand K5 tractors in 2024, said the company’s general director Sergei Kogogin on the sidelines of the VTB forum “Russia Calling!” The production volume in 2023 will be 5 thousand. Mr. Kogogin called the increase in production significant, reports TASS.

In 2022, KamAZ encountered difficulties in producing K5 generation tractors due to a shortage of foreign components after Daimler Truck left the Russian market. It suspended work on February 27, 2022 amid the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine. Daimler in the Russian Federation has a joint venture with KamAZ, Daimler Kamaz Rus, and a 15% stake in the Russian concern. In February 2023, KamAZ began production of the import-substituted version of the K5.
