KamAZ intends to create a project for its own tourist bus in 2024, said General Director Sergei Kogogin on the sidelines of the VTB forum “Russia Calling!” Specialized tourist buses are not produced in Russia.
Mr. Kogogin explained that we are talking about a large bus for traveling long distances. It will have a large trunk, a toilet and a sleeping place for the second driver. “With the growth of domestic tourism, this segment will definitely be in demand,” says the head of KamAZ (quoted from RIA Novosti).
Plans to create tourist buses were previously announced by the GAZ group, Volgabas and Sollers. Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov reportedthat Sollers may already launch production of such vehicles in 2024.
