Ipsos: average check in Russian pharmacies grew by 16% in 2022

The size of the average check in Russian pharmacies amounted to 622 rubles. at the end of the third quarter of 2022. This is 25.6% more than in 2020, and 15.6% more than in 2021, analysts at Ipsos calculated.

It is noted that in network pharmacies the size of the average bill reached 640 rubles, which is 13.5% higher than in non-network pharmacies. In the third quarter of 2022, about 82.3% of pharmacy customers noticed a significant increase in the price of drugs, follows from an Ipsos survey, the results of which were familiarized Vedomosti.

The growth of the average bill is associated not only with the rise in price of medicines, but also with increased demand against the background of the disappearance of foreign drugs from the market. In the analytical company RNC Pharma, the increase in customer activity at the end of 2022 is also associated with the mobilization and rise in the incidence of influenza and SARS.

After the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine and the disruption of supply chains provoked by it, there are interruptions in the supply of medicines in Russia. In December, RNC Pharma reportedthat the export of tranquilizers to the country has significantly decreased and part of the imported medicines has disappeared from the market.
