Internet resources of Russia partially withdrawn from sanctions restrictions

The international Internet registrar RIPE NCC resumed servicing Russian participants who fell under sanctions restrictions. As writes RBC with reference to the letter of the company, we are talking only about organizations providing services in the field of telecommunications.
RIPE NCC is one of the world’s five regional Internet registrars headquartered in the Netherlands. The organization serves 76 countries, in Russia it has more than 1.5 thousand members.
RIPE NCC will remove the “sanctions” note for some Russian companies from its database, the letter implies, and will also begin accepting new applications for connection and entering into sponsorship agreements with users who qualify for these exceptions.
According to report RIPE NCC, since 2021, the registrar has been investigating 1,046 cases of sanctions against its members, of which 361 are related to the military conflict in Ukraine, including 115 Internet registrar members and 246 end users.
