People’s Artist of the USSR Inna Churikova was buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow. She died January 14 at the age of 79. She was buried next to the graves of director and actor Vladimir Menshov, as well as actor Vasily Lanovoy. Earlier, the funeral of Inna Churikova took place in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
“My heart is shedding tears – what a loss. How I can survive this, I don’t know. Hold on, please, be strong, ”said Mark Varshaver, director of the Lenkom Theater Mark Zakharova, addressing the family of the actress (quote from TASS). Funeral wreaths were laid at the grave of Inna Churikova, including those from Lenkom, the President of the Russian Federation, the head of government, and the patriarch.
Initially, it was planned to say goodbye to the actress at the Lenkom Mark Zakharov Theater, but then, by decision of his family, moved to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
Inna Churikova has served at Lenkom since 1975. She has more than 60 roles in films and TV series. Among the most famous of them: “Morozko” (1964), “The Beginning” (1970), “The Same Munchausen” (1979), “Shirley Myrli” (1995).
