At the age of 80, Indian actor Mallampalli Chandrasekhara Rao, better known by his stage name Chandra Mohan, died after a long illness, reports The Times of India. During his career, he managed to star in 900 films and TV series.
According to the publication, in recent years Mr. Mohan suffered from heart and kidney problems. On November 11, he lost consciousness in his home and was hospitalized, but the hospital had already declared him dead. Sources said the cause was cardiac arrest.
The actor was born in 1942 and was educated at an agricultural college, and during his studies he participated in theatrical productions. His debut role was in the film Rangula Ratnam in 1966. His last work was a role in the 2017 film Oxygen, after which he decided to stop acting due to deteriorating health.
