India will increase the supply of smartphones to Russia by 16 times in 2023 – Kommersant

In 2023, supplies of smartphones from India to Russia increased 16 times in monetary terms, to $97.3 million, reports “RIA News” citing data from the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry. In 2022, the volume of smartphone shipments from India to Russia was estimated at $6.1 million.
According to the ministry, the maximum value of smartphone supplies from India to Russia last year reached in November – $27.29 million. The minimum figures were recorded in March and July – there the values turned out to be zero.
Trade turnover between Russia and India for ten months of 2023 increased doubled, to a record $54.7 billion. According to the forecast of the Russian-Asian Business Council, by 2030 the figure could reach $100 billion. Experts also expect that Russian exports to India will grow from $32.5 billion in 2022 to $72–95 billion in 2030, and imports – from $2.5 billion to more than $20 billion.
