In Vnukovo and Domodedovo lifted restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft

At the international airports Domodedovo and Vnukovo in Moscow, all restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft have been lifted, the air hubs are operating normally, the press services of the airports reported. “In order to ensure safety, from 05:37 a part of the flights were redirected to other air harbors of the Moscow Aviation Hub. Aircraft departures are allowed at 06:57. At 07:28 hours, all flight restrictions are lifted. Vnukovo International Airport is operating normally,” the press service noted (TASS quote).
At Domodedovo, temporary restrictions on the reception and departure of aircraft were introduced from 05:39 to 08:00 in order to provide additional flight safety measures. The airport is currently operating normally. As the press service clarified, during the period of restrictions, aircraft can be redirected to alternate airfields or continue flying in the holding area and land after restrictions are lifted at the destination airport.
According to Rosaviatsia, due to restrictions in Vnukovo, Domodedovo, as well as the Zhukovsky airport near Moscow, 14 aircraft left for alternate airports. After the restrictions are lifted, passengers will be delivered to their destination airports.
According to Sergei Sobyanin, today, September 1, a drone was shot down near Lyubertsy, which was flying towards Moscow. There were no casualties. According to online scoreboard Yandex.Schedule, currently 50 flights are delayed in Domodedovo, 14 canceled. In Vnukovo, 17 flights were delayed, 6 canceled.
