In the first two months of 2024, alcohol production in Russia increased by 12.7%

In January-February 2024, Russian alcoholic beverage enterprises produced 10.362 million deciliters (dal) of vodka. Compared to the same period in 2023, production volume increased by 5.5%, according to data from Rosalkogoltabakkontrol, which provides Interfax. In just two months, 26.863 million dal of alcohol-containing and alcoholic products (except for beer, beer drinks, cider, poire and mead) were produced in Russia. This is 12.7% more than last year.

In total, 15.37 million decaliters of alcoholic beverages with a strength above 9 degrees have been produced since the beginning of the year, which is 7% more than in January-February 2023.

In total, wineries produced 4.444 million dal of grape wines in January-February, which is 31.2% more than in the same period last year. The production of sparkling wines increased by 25.6%, to 2.08 million decaliters, and liqueur wines – by 40%, to 242.63 thousand decaliters.

The production of cognac decreased by 5.4% (to 1.157 million decaliters) and low-alcohol drinks. It decreased by 5.7%, to 2.76 million decaliters.
