The program of preferential Far Eastern air transportation has been extended until the end of 2025. Such a decision signed Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“The program of preferential air travel is very much in demand by citizens. Over 350,000 people used it last year. The number of routes was almost doubled to 37,” he said on meeting with vice-premiers.
As the press service of the government notes, this year at least 5.9 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of the program. The cost of a subsidized flight now ranges from 1,000 to 10,700 rubles. one way depending on the route.
The program for subsidizing Far Eastern air transportation was approved in the summer of 2021. Reduced fare tickets can be purchased by all residents of the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) who have permanent registration in the region.
The tariffs apply, in particular, to direct economy class flights from Vladivostok, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Magadan to Moscow and back. Subsidized destinations also include Khabarovsk – Yakutsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Vladivostok – Chita, etc.
