The Nizhny Novgorod department of the FAS imposed an administrative fine on the owner of the Telegram channel “My Nizhny Novgorod” for posting advertising materials without the appropriate marking. The FAS did not disclose the amount of the fine.

From September 2 to 12, 16 posts were published in the Telegram channel “My Nizhny Novgorod”, which the OFAS commission recognized as advertising.

The presence of the “advertising” mark in such posts is provided for by the Federal Law “On Advertising”, and liability for the absence of such marks is provided for by Article 14.3 of the Administrative Code. Under this article, the violator faces a fine of 2–2.5 thousand rubles.
