Ilze Liepa told about the strength of Russians

People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Ilze Liepa in an interview aif.ru commented on the information according to which Lithuania has launched a procedure for depriving her of citizenship.
“I can’t admit that I don’t care,” the ballerina noted. “My father Maris Liepa is Latvian, and my citizenship is Lithuanian.” She emphasized that she received it for services to the country, since she traveled to Lithuania for many years and organized creative evenings: “The public loved me, I loved the public.”
“I can’t help but say that I love Russia and support my president,” Liepa repeated. If Lithuania considers these words of the ballerina a reason for deprivation of citizenship, then “well… I won’t change.”
She still has a warm relationship with her partner, Lithuanian Petras Skirmantas. “We don’t curse each other,” Liepa said. She definitely won’t do this, just like, in her opinion, no Russian will. “This is our strength,” the ballerina is sure.
