Ile de Beaute reopens at Sephora location

The Russian network of perfumery and cosmetics “Ile de Beauté” will resume work from today, October 10, at the site of Sephora outlets. A company representative said Vedomostithat at the moment the sign has been changed in the Aviapark shopping center. A complete rebranding is planned to be carried out before January 2023.

Ile de Beaute was founded in 2001. LVMH-owned French company Sephora entered the capital of the Russian firm in 2013 and became the sole owner a few years later. In 2020, Ile de Beaute was renamed Sephora.

After the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the French company suspended its activities in the Russian Federation, and later sold network to CEO Evgeny Drozdov. According to Vedomosti, the deal was completed on October 7, its terms were not disclosed. Drozdov said that Ile de Beaute is now a fully autonomous company that is in a “stable financial position.” According to him, the network will launch with the same inventory as it had at the beginning of the year due to a nearly seven-month suspension.
