“Humpbacked Horse”: TV premiere on the channel “Russia”

On December 30, on the Rossiya TV channel, the premiere of the fairy tale film The Little Humpbacked Horse based on the work of the same name by Pyotr Ershov about the adventures of the peasant son Ivan the Fool and his faithful assistant The Little Humpbacked Horse is premiered on the Rossiya TV channel. Starring: Anton Shagin, Pavel Derevyanko, Mikhail Efremov, Paulina Andreeva, Yan Tsapnik, Oleg Taktarov.

Ivan is not a prince, not a hero, not a handsome man, but his older brothers consider him a fool at all. But everything changes when Ivan has a friend and faithful assistant – the Little Humpbacked Horse. Although he is small in stature, he is smart and brave. With such a friend, no enemy is terrible. Well, almost none. With such an assistant, nothing is impossible. Well, almost not. Ivan and Konyok will test their friendship for strength, face an insidious enemy, overcome incredible trials and meet a love that is worth risking everything for. Well, almost everyone.

Pavel Derevyanko was the only contender for the role of the Little Humpbacked Horse. The team was faced with the task of making the character “alive”, so from a technical point of view, the filming process for Pavel was not easy. First, the actor was taken to a specially equipped place, his face was covered with sensors, and in a darkened room they were photographed from all sides, fixing his smiles, grins, and various grimaces. Thus, the filmmakers “filmed” the artist’s emotions and transferred them to his character.

“It was long and tiring. But on the set, I no longer had to work with my face, but there I was put on a tight-fitting suit with a bunch of sensors, and I had to make certain movements. Since Konyok is small, he had to be much shorter than Ivan, and I had to squat all the time. It was hard,” said Pavel Derevyanko.

The lead actor Ivan the Fool, Anton Shagin, on the set, instead of the real Skate, got a plush one as a partner.

“He was replaced by such a green Horse, a toy, and here, of course, I had to get some new feelings from the acting luggage. Or when interacting with an imaginary Whale or a Firebird. This is hard to come by without humor. But if you look at the process from the side, then everything works like clockwork. And, of course, the more unpredictable, the more interesting, ”the actor shared.

The role of the Tsar Maiden was played by actress Paulina Andreeva: “I always wanted to play in a fairy tale. Everything worked out here, because The Little Humpbacked Horse is one of my favorites. It was fun, beautiful, professional. Gorgeous costumes, partners, a huge world around, built from scratch. Participation in a fairy tale is important for me not only because I love this genre in principle, or because I played the Tsar Maiden. And above all because the film is made for children. In my opinion, this is the most valuable, honest and responsive audience.”

The scriptwriters of The Little Humpbacked Horse retained almost the entire plot of the famous fairy tale, expanding the line of love and translating the story into prose.

Filming took place in a film pavilion near St. Petersburg with an area of ​​more than 7,000 square meters. m. Separate scenery and conditional objects of green or blue colors were built, which were subsequently completed and recreated using computer graphics.
