In June 2022, 65.4 thousand mortgage loans (HML) were issued in Russia for a total amount of 253.5 billion rubles. The weighted average interest rate on HMLs in rubles increased by 0.19 percentage points in June to 6.36% per annum. A slight increase is associated, among other things, with an increase in the share of mortgage lending on market terms, the weighted average interest rate for which is traditionally higher than the rates for state support programs for mortgage mortgages, according to materials Central Bank. On the contrary, the rate on HMLs on DDU denominated in rubles decreased from 3.81% to 3.74% in June.
The maximum weighted average interest rate on housing mortgage loans in June was recorded in Chechnya – 12.28%, the minimum in the Pskov region – 4.34%.
