The average cost of a home first-aid kit, according to Vedomosti, based on data from the Rosstat database for February 2023 (no later data), was 913 rubles. Compared to the same month last year, it has risen in price by 16%. The price of the antispasmodic drug no-shpa (100 tablets of 40 mg each) increased the most: over the year, its cost increased by 38.5% to 322.1 rubles. Activated carbon (10 tablets of 100 mg) went up by 31.3% to 15.06 rubles, wound healing ointment Levomekol – by 12.1% to 193.33 rubles. Prices for paracetamol (10 tablets of 500 mg, +9.3%), nimesulide (100 mg, +9.6%), ibuprofen (200 mg, +6.6%) also increased. The cost of some drugs, on the contrary, has decreased. Among them are the antihypertensive enalapril (10 tablets of 5 mg, -7.3%), the laxative bisacodyl (10 tablets of 5 mg, -2.3%) and the antiallergic drug suprastin (10 tablets of 25 mg, -1.9% ).
The list of medicines included in the home first aid kit was compiled on the basis of the recommendations of the Moscow Health Department, published on the website of the department. It includes antipyretics, painkillers, antispasmodics, antihistamines, wound healing drugs, sorbents, constipation and hypertensive drugs, vasoconstrictor nose drops.
