“Home Credit” will change its name as part of the rebranding – Kommersant

Home Credit Bank will begin rebranding in July and change its name to Home Bank, the credit institution said. This decision was made in order not to duplicate the brand of its former shareholder, the Czech Home Credit BV, with the name. RBC citing a source, the press service of the bank confirmed the information.

The representative of the bank said that the new name would be written in Cyrillic, and the rebranding would be carried out in several stages. “First, remote channels will be updated – the bank’s website and mobile application. This will happen in July 2023. At the second stage, signboards in branches and pasting of ATMs will be replaced. This stage is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023,” the bank said.

According to RBC, the rebranding will be completed by November 1, since by this date the bank’s agreement with Home Credit BV to use the name will expire. The credit institution has been operating in Russia under the Home Credit brand since 2002.

In September 2022, the Czech PPF, which owned Home Credit, left the Russian banking market. She sold the remaining stake in the 49.5% group of Russian private investors. This made the credit institution a completely Russian company. In March 2023, the Central Bank expelled “Home Credit” from significant payment organizations.
