Home appliance maker Haier launches ready-made kitchens

Major Chinese electronics and home appliance maker Haier has begun selling kitchens in Russia under the Haier Kitchen Lab brand, according to the company’s website. It states that German-made furniture is sold in ready-made sets. Haier has signed contracts for the production of modular kitchens under its own brand (STM) with the German factory Beckermann Küchen (its own furniture production in the city of Werl), as well as with the Russian Nika factory from the Chelyabinsk region, the hotline specialists explained. Sales of kitchens started at the beginning of the year, said one of Haier’s consultants. Beckermann Küchen and Nike did not respond to a request.

Haier is the world’s largest home appliance manufacturer in the past 14 years, according to Euromonitor International 2022 data. The Chinese company owns 122 manufacturing sites worldwide and has more than 3,300 home appliance specialty stores, according to the group’s website. Haier Smart Home’s global revenue was 243.5 billion yuan ($340 billion) last year. The revenue of the Russian legal entity Khar LLC in 2022 is 62.7 billion rubles, net profit is 6.1 billion rubles. According to the Russian website Haier, the company has about 80 branded appliance stores and three kitchen studios in the country (all in Moscow).
