Members of the actors’ union SAG-AFTRA have ratified a new three-year agreement with Hollywood film studios. 78% of the trade union members who took part in the vote were in favor of ratification. A total of 38% of members of the trade union, which represents the interests of almost 160 thousand film, radio and television actors, voted. This is reported by Reuters.

Agreement that was previously accepted in early November, provides for a significant increase in remuneration for actors, including extras, the introduction of bonuses for participation in streaming projects, as well as limiting the use of artificial intelligence. Actor Fran Dreschen, head of SAG-AFTRA, said in a statement that this is “a golden age for SAG-AFTRA—our union has never been stronger.” With the adoption of the agreement in November, the strike of Hollywood actors, which lasted 118 days, ended.
