Heineken found a buyer for the Russian business

Brewing concern Heineken announced that it had found a buyer for its business in Russia. About it says in the company’s quarterly report. It does not specify with whom it is planned to conduct a deal.
“We continue to work on the transfer of ownership of our business in Russia, and in accordance with local requirements, an application has been submitted to the authorities of the Russian Federation for approval (sale of the business.— “b”) … If and when we receive approval, we will share additional information about the buyer and the agreement, ”the press release says.
The company’s portfolio includes about 30 brands, including Heineken, Amstel Premium Pilsener, Zlaty Bazant, Guinness, as well as national and regional brands – Okhota, Three Bears, Stepan Razin.
Heineken back in March 2022 announced on the termination of investments and exports to the Russian Federation, as well as the production, sale and advertising of its brand in Russia. In the same month the company reportedthat will transfer the business in the country to a new owner. Heineken promised to leave from Russia in the first half of 2023, but specified that problems with the sale arose due to changes in Russian legislation.
